Hello! I'm Summer Derrickson. A Christian artist who is inspired to paint pieces that ignite faith in others, even if only for a moment. My work includes daily devotional paintings, more in-depth originals, and commissioned pieces.
Welcome to my studio and may God use my work to speak to you!
February 1st 2020 - January 2021
Fun daily devotional paintings for women who want to cultivate strong faith moment by moment. These paintings center around one verse from my own bible study and features cute sheep to illustrate and create visual meaning. Every day starting at 8 am February 1st, a new painting will be posted on my Facebook art page.

New paintings once a month
For more detailed and in-depth work please check out my original paintings. These works were created to delve deeper into the journey of faith, exploring the hills and valleys we all face. I hope you find my work strengthens and reminds you of Gods goodness, and that you never face a day alone.
If you enjoy my work I also offer originals, prints, and many other gift items for purchase through my shop at FineArtAmerica.com.
Have a special piece made for you
Do you have a special vision or image in your mind that you have always found inspiring but could never get out on paper? Or have you wanted a portrait to celebrate your beloved pet? I offer personal paintings of either, priced by the size of canvas and painted in acrylic paint. Please keep in mind that I specialize in animals and landscapes, but not humans. However, feel free to run an idea by me and I'll see what I can do!
Want more ideas to grow your faith?
In my own journey I have found some things that have been helpful to cultivating stronger faith and better understanding what it means to be close to God. I would love to share these with you so that you may walk more confidently in faith too.
Summer started creating things from an early age. Growing up on a farm her early drawings were influenced by the horses and other furry creatures she played with. In 2016 Summer graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and in 2018 started her professional art career with One Summer Night Media (now Summers Art Studio). Summer, her husband Chris, and her mare Misty enjoy hiking the outdoors and exploring new trails.
